About the partnership

In 2009 industry leaders Canonical and Dell Technologies formed a global partnership with a common mission to offer enterprise and commercial customers validated and supported open-source solutions built upon certified Dell infrastructure.

Canonical — the company behind Ubuntu; the most popular operating system across cloud, core, and edge — and Dell Technologies have created a series of feature-rich reference architectures applicable across industries and delivering superior customer experiences and value.

To complement the portfolio of joint solutions, Canonical and Dell Technologies offer professional services including consulting, deployment and managed services to ensure a quicker and seamless time to production.

Customers can acquire Canonical support subscriptions, services and solutions for cloud, Kubernetes, AI/ML, storage and edge directly from Dell enabling a single source for Dell customers.

Enterprise business

As enterprises evolve their IT to take advantage of new technologies and growing demands, Canonical and Dell Technologies have partnered to simplify this evolution and reduce the cost and complexities of implementing a modern architecture.

Founded on a base of certification across Dell's entire PowerEdge portfolio, Canonical and Dell Technologies have jointly engineered validated reference architectures that provide enterprises the foundation to run their business upon and embrace areas like AI/ML, Big Data, Dev/SecOps and much more!

To simplify the acquisition of these solutions, customers can purchase Canonical support and services through Dell or choose Dell's own branded-support for Canonical Ubuntu at the time of purchase.
